7.62x51 Reloading
I'm the new owner of an older L1A1 inch and looking for insight on:
1. Locating what would be considered reloadable 7.62x51 'serviceable ammo' (not necessarily match grade) which still provides good performance. I'm seeing some 10-20 yr old Milsurp (from all over the planet) with berdan (both corosive and non); new Win 308 stuff; and Turkish MKE NATO spec boxer primed non corosive which seems pretty well priced. Any other reloadable ammo options? Which do you prefer?
2. Where to find powder, bullets, brass, and reloading kit. I'm thinking of plinking no more than a five hundred to 1000 rounds per year. I've checked out GSS competition for starters but am wondering who the other suppliers of choice might be.
3. How many times can reloading be safely done?
Basically it's about finding a sensible alternative to escalating prices, and what's sure to come down the pike as far as restricted/regulated ammo. Any ideas or thoughts on any of this would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
