Brainstorming: ideas for a zombie shooting competition?
I saw one on the internet somewhere that was pretty good but most of all FUN! Can't find it to save my life now though and I'd like to put something on at the club. Anyone have any input for something competitive but extremely fun that anyone could get in to with any type of firearm?

It's easy enough to use IDPA or USPSA targets and modify your rules to suit.
We have "zombies" every year at our Halloween shoot. All you need is some red paint, some old clothes and some imagination.

They're fiberglass, you can get quite a few rounds into one before it falls apart. But you could use one to make paper mache molds of so you could have a bunch of targets.

The perfect woman , very submissive , quiet and make for a very cheap date.
Warning , Don't mix manequenes and Wild Turkey , you'll end up married in Mexico !
On a serious note , I like Lycanthrope's idea and I used to make life size targets out of cheap ply-wood. Whenever it got to shot up , I'd tape brown paper over the damage or just cover the holes with masking tape so I knew where I was hitting..Last edited by dman; June 20th, 2012 at 05:35 AM.

Re: Brainstorming: ideas for a zombie shooting competition?
I've been researching the same thing to possibly organize a shoot for the end of July. I think we will be doing .22lr pistol/rifle with a rather high round count. Zombies come in hordes you know.
Check out the Zombie Shooters Association for some guidelines and scoring rules using IDPA type targets.
If you have access to a large format printer there are some free zombie targets available online. Most are something like 22"x30" so you either need a big printer or the ability to ring out to multiple pages. I'm planning on printing some out and attaching them to cardboard backers for durability and then using plasters between shooters. Not sure what I'm going to do for the "infected" targets yet.
Maybe a bonus stage with say 20-25 zombies and 10 seconds to take out as many as possible with .25 or .5 seconds off of total time per zombie killed.
