Oh and the snow shoes were for hunting up 'top of the mountain' in 2-3 foot of snow.

I'm going to try to get out a couple times with my bow. It's weird this yr I've seen two bucks already drop antlers. My dad's friend shot what he thought was a doe, turned out to be a buck that already shed. Usually this doesn't happen so early.

late winter / spring are some of the best times to buy used bows, and right before the season. people are dumping them to buy new.

On another note, Im fairly certain I need to go hunting next year, my wife is hooked on deer meat.

Man, i'm heading out on friday and saturday to put a Doe or two in the freezer. Special regs counties have weeks upon weeks of open season left. rifle antlerless dec 14-23, and dec 26-jan23 for antlerless, and antlered bow/flintlock from dec 26- jan 23rd.

Yep, I'll probably head out for a day or two. Probably the Thompson Firestorm .50 cal. Would love to do the bow thing, but too many layers I think will be required hampering solid shot placement. We'll see.

I did get my Buck this year, but I still have 2 doe tags.
