Taking responsiblity
Rant on
I think that I may have to consider the purchase of an APC or war surplus Sherman tank. The wife and I went to N.C. to visit our oldest daughter, son-law-in, and grandkids last week. Son-in-law had returned from his 3rd all expense paid trip to the sandbox.
This is our 4th trip to N.C. in the last 2 years and each time like clock work someone hits my truck in a store parking lot and takes off with out leaving his/her information. I paid over 40K for this truck and it isn't 3 years old yet.
The thing that pisses me off is that I have great insurance coverage with a $250 deductable and damage to the truck has never exceeded $300 so I have been getting fixed out of pocket.
It's not the money, really, the thing that is burning me up is that people in todays society will not step up/man-up and admit fault and take the consequences for their actions.
Rant off

Maybe the "yankee" license plates on the truck?
Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.

Re: Taking responsiblity
Yesterday there was a post about minding your own business or calling the police to report something. This is one of those times where you go out of your way to nail someone who is disrespecting someone else's property. They are no different than common criminals in my mind. They are costing you money that you worked for. When I was on the Navy base in Connecticut, I saw someone back into someone else's car on two different occassions and I reported both incidents with the make, model, and license plate of the offender. In one case, I had the opportunity to follow them and have the base MPs snag them while I was there.
I'm with you on being irate that stuff like this."The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."
