Default 😲Sig Sauer liable for pistol shooting

💰 A federal jury has awarded a Georgia man $2.3 million in a product liability case against gunmaker Sig Sauer, after he was shot by his own gun without allegedly pulling the trigger. The case appears to mark the first time the New Hampshire-based firearms manufacturer has been found liable for a misfiring P320 pistol, a gun at the center of dozens of other lawsuits claiming it has a design flaw that leaves it susceptible to unintentionally firing.

They have been known to fire on their own.

    "The gun went off"

We often roll our eyes at that agenda-driven comment, so
thanks Sig for making it real.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

It seems like the P320 is rapidly overtaking Glock leg....... To save money, instead of designing a new hammer for the striker fired pistol, they used the same hammer as one of their hammer fired pistols. After some discharges they redesigned and lightened the hammer and offered this as an "upgrade" if you sent your pistol in. But no recall. There was also an issue with the sear springs binding and not fully engaging the hammer. They redesigned that too on the new pistols but again no recoil.

Here is an overly dramatic video about 4 cops that were shot. Go to 2:00 and there is surveillance footage of a cop getting shot while walking to her car carrying gym bags.

Alec Baldwin should hitch onto this.

You don't know what you're taking about.

Please do some research on a hammer fired pistol vs a striker fired pistol. There are plenty of YT videos available explaining the difference along with some very good animations....

I misspoke. The p320 originally used the same trigger as the P250 and while this trigger worked fine for the hammer fired pistol needed to be redesigned for a striker design.

Here is a link to Sigg's free Voluntary Upgrade Program. It seems like they now replace a lot more than just the trigger.

This will include an alternate design that reduces the physical weight of the trigger, sear, and striker while additionally adding a mechanical disconnector.

This is the way it's supposed to work. You sue a company for making a faulty product. Suing a company because the purchaser of your product misuses it is an idea that only a retarded leftist would consider.

"retarded leftist" is a redundant or repetitive expression.
Strange women lying in ponds, distributing swords, is no basis for a system of government.
