I used to about 10 years ago when I was in high school. Back before Wizards discovered they could release a new set every 3 months and force people to buy it if they wanted to stand a chance (ie: Shadow).

between my bro and I we probably have 20,000 cards laying around somewhere.

I used to play about 8-10 years ago. It was a great game and I really enjoyed it.

I used to buy collections of other people's cards. I sold them all off though to move back home 7 years ago. I kept my favorite deck though. Not sure where but she's somewhere.

Before it was released to retail my friend picked up two demo decks. We used to play for hours. Wish I still had that deck. Then the game turned into a money pit. More money means more wins. I think I played all things nerd back then. I thinking about playing the star wars miniature game.

I played 10+ years ago, started right after Legends came out. I played in a number of big NYC tournaments. I had a hell of a full on race deck--beta mox set and lotus, time walk, etc. That was before there was even a type 2 tournament. I stayed in it for a number of years then got burned out. When I got out I sold my set for over 3k.

It was quite fun but I think they started over engineering it which lead to it's downfall.

I used to play a little, 4-5 years ago. It just got too expensive to keep up with.

whats realllly scary is the digital cards for the online game sell for more on ebay than the real cards do. I was looking at selling some of my stuff off a few years ago and after looking at what the prices were worth it would have been a waste.

I stayed in the scene up till the Invasion block. After that I graduated high school and didn't really have anyone to play against, so my cards got mothballed.

I started playing casually a bit maybe a year ago, but noticed that the new sets all have a different format and type face, and I think they look pretty lame. As such I stick to using cards with the old type face and format only. My decks would be amazing five years ago, but some of the newer cards are just broken, and I don't usually stand a chance against tournament-competitive decks anymore.
