When my son was a junior in High school, all he wanted to do was join the Marines like his father and Uncle did. I bought him an ar-15 and he learned how to take it apart and put it back together blind folded. He also learned to shoot it very good. He qualified high expert in boot camp which as any Marine knows, made his boot camp much easier.

You can do it, you'll just have to make an effort with someone who's willing to accept the responsibility with you, then nurture him until he's 10. Then you have to appreciate it while you can because he won't be 10 years old for long. I had 2 of them for a little while, now they're 15 and 25 years old. I had 2 10 year old daughters too, now they're 18 and 27.

When I do it, it's not easy to use my finger (size of same). Even when I do, the rest of the buffer and the spring have a tendency to hang up on the pin and I don't like yanking it out, like she seems to be doing. Or am I missing something?
