    Default Pistol ammo drying up?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Went to Wally World in Montoursville PA, all of the 9mm and .40 S&W bulk ammo was SOLD OUT! drove over to Dick's Sporting Goods in Muncy, PA. All of the bulk 9mm and .40 S&W ammo was SOLD OUT! The counter person said that it was just pistol ammo that there was a run on.... Maybe the start of an ammo panic?

I believe it possible that there was a run on pistol ammo in the christmas aftermath in an attempt to stock up before the price increases kick in...

I personally bought quite a bit of 9mm from the local wal mart for just this reason.

All I know is the 1440 round spam can of 9mm I bought around Thanksgiving for about $180 is no longer available, and I'm sad (Despite having about 700 rounds left, of course.)

Price of everything's going up (especially all types of metals due to int'l market) -- since ammo lasts a long time think it's just folks buying now. Not much different than fuel hedges by airlines.

A Walmart here in Lancaster County was fully stocked...maybe it had something to do with the recent 25% price increase.
