    Default Rifle capacities

My dad just picked up a super sweet Henry 22 magnum lever action a few days ago. Primarily going to be a woodchcuk / squirrel gun. My question is, since the capacity is 11 rounds (I think), is it still legal to hunt with in PA? Thanks in advance.

Yep. No rifle capacity restrictions for hunting in PA. My Henry is my .22 assault weapon. It holds 21+1 rounds of .22 short!

This is the only capacity restriction that I can find:

Firearms - Magazine Capacity: It is unlawful to hunt small game,
furbearers, turkeys, waterfowl or crows with a manual or autoloading
shotgun unless the magazine is limited to a two-shell capacity. A plug
must be a one-piece filler installed so it cannot be readily removed
without disassembling the gun or magazine.
Only restriction seems to apply to shotguns alone.
    IANAL

I concur with the posts above. No capacity limits for rifles.

The only exception to that rule is if you are legally exempt to use a semi-auto, which it then is limited to 4+1.

Sec. 2322. Prohibited devices and methods.

    (a) General rule. - Except as otherwise provided in this title or commission regulation, no person shall hunt, kill or take or attempt, aid, abet, assist or conspire to hunt, kill or take any big game, except wild turkey, with any of the following devices or methods:

    (2) Any automatic or semiautomatic firearm, except that any semiautomatic firearm modified to permit one shell in the chamber and no more than four shells in a magazine may be used by a person who suffered an amputation or lost the total use of one or both hands.
