My Newest Rifle... :)
Thanks to the guys over at XDTalk.com... I picked up this baby on Wednesday.
A Bushmaster 16" M4. It's the "ORC" model, which means it didn't have the steel sights attached and was ready for optics right off the bat. I added a BSA 3-9x40 illuminated dot scope to the top as it was recommended by the salesperson (who also sold me my XD9 SC and Walther P22)...
Anyways - it's a blast! I can't wait to take it back out again sometime this weekend if the weather clears up a bit.Simon

Nice heater.
You can light the retical with the front scope cover on and shoot with both eyes open (shooting occluded) at close targets.....just like a red dot.

Nice rifle, bushies are nice.

Re: My Newest Rifle... :)
Looks great! Where did you get it from? I'm in the market for a Bushy but there aren't many around priced reasonable. I'll probably order mine from Buds or Davidsons and have it shipped to a FFL locally. Buds is almost 400 bucks cheaper than Gander which seems to have the most Bushys locally that I have found. But I'm not paying $1200 at Gander when I can get it at Buds or Davidsons for a little over $800.

Re: My Newest Rifle... :)
Tim - I picked it up at Cabela's for $895. It was the most reasonable they had there... It's the ORC model (Optics Ready) so it doesn't come with the regular flip up rear or front sight...
I added a $70 scope with a basic set of rings... Total with the front flipup cover for that setup was just over $100...
I looked at Ganer too, but they didn't have this specific model in stock and I'd rather deal with Cabela's anyways (since Gander always seems to be WAY overpriced)... Plus, the guy I dealt with at Cabela's also sold me 2 of my handguns and he took a bunch of time just to chat. He wasn't rushed to get to the next customer, recommended the scope, etc.
I know most people say to deal locally first... I wanted to be able to pick the rifle, pay for it, and walk out with it the same day though...Simon
