Some things you should carry with you besides your firearm

These are some of the "other" things I carry with me whenever I'm either OC or CC.

Other than the 'normal' Wallet and Keys. (I keep my LTCF in my wallet so it's not on the other list)

Cell Phone, always
Digital Voice Recorder
Folding knife
Led Flashlight
PA OC Flyers

I actually have the copy of my LTCF, my Drivers License and one Credit Card in a little leather pouch that is just big enough to hold those three. That minimalist wallet is in one of my front pockets. Should I really have to surrender my fat main wallet without having a chance to draw, I at least don't get stranded without anything at all.

Still looking for a 9mm single stack mag pouch to carry a spare.

Usually, all i carry on me is:

-Holster that my firearm is in
-Cell Phone (very important tool when your CCing OR OCing)
-Wallet (which has my LTCF and DL, but never more than $20 cash in it)
-Sometimes a backup piece (Kahr PM9)


Thats all i really need, i've got my defense (Firearm), i've got my communication (Cell Phone), and i've got my credentials (Wallet with DL and LTCF). Yes, i'm quite the minimalist, pretty much all across the board regarding everything in life. Simple = Better.

I remember that other picture thread about what people carry with them, and i was taken back at how much stuff alot of you guys carry with you! Some of you are prepared for fucking war!

oh man...what's been listed so far is nothing. here is an inventory of what i carry around with me:

contact lens rewetting drops
clif bar
small notepad and pen
emergency poncho
bic lighter
flint
petroleum jelly impregnated dryer lint
12-hour candle
water purification tablets
compass
lock pick set
plastic garbage bag
small first aid kit:
-assorted size band-aids
-couple 3x3 guaze pads
-5x9 surgical pad
-4x4 square of cellophane
-couple neosporin packets
-couple alcohol wipes
-non-latex medical gloves
-packet of celox
-mole skin
-cloth tape
-ibuprofen tablets
-antihistamine tablets

the only things on my belt are the g17 and spare mag. folding knife in one front pocket, keys and multitool in the other front pocket. everything else fits easily into two cargo pockets. most of it goes into two little waterproof pouches, so it is quick and easy to put it in or take it out of the pockets.

i fully admit that i go overboard, but i got the pocket space, so why not? and i have actually used (or someone else has borrowed) most of this stuff at one point or another.

anyway, if you trade in your jeans for cargo pants/shorts, you can carry an amazing amount of stuff around with you easily...if you want to.
