    Default NRA, GOA, NAGR

I'm a life member of the NRA, but I'm trying to decide if the other 2 groups are also worth joining.

    What's your thoughts?

NAGR seems, at first glance, to spend quite a bit of energy bashing the NRA.

To add a fourth option for you, I recently joined the Second Amendment Foundation https://www.saf.org/ they are the ones responsible for the recent victories with Washington DC as well as a few others around the country. Out of all the pro-gun organizations, with the exception of the NRA, they seem to be the most proactive with taking gun rights cases to court, a lot of times successfully.

I can only speak to the GOA.
Although I like their grit, the e-mails they routinely sent were often very dishonest. At times it was almost infowars material.
It got on my nerves after a few years and haven't been back.
    YMMV.

I choose to buy yearly memberships to the NRA. This way I feel I can at least have some say (however so small) in their behavior. If they capitulate in ways I disagree with I can drop my membership. I also feel it more important to give out gift memberships to friends/family members that I haven't been able to convince to join.

My other group which I actually seem to agree with more ideologically is GOA. They call themselves the only "No Compromise" organization. They have very little to no spam mail, aren't always trying to push other products and only send email and preprinted post cards already pre-addressed to my Legislators regarding important issues. Their dues are $25/year I think. But lets be honest- they don't have the NRA's clout.

I am a life member of the NRA. I am also a member of the SAF2. Those two are the most effective of the pro-gun orgs. The NRA for political clout and the SAF because the are the lawyers that won both Heller and McDonald rulings. I am going to join the GOA for a year to judge what they actually do. I will not join NAGR as they spend too much time bashing the NRA.

I also just sent money to both the NRA-ILA and the NRA-PVF as these two groups actually do the heavy lifting for our rights.

Like most I am a life member of the NRA and have been for years.

Don't know much about the other groups. I would say if a group
is attacking the NRA I would not give then a dime.

Like we all know we have to stand as one if we are going to survive
the liberal attacks on the 2nd amendment. They are like sharks.. they
smell blood now and are in a fever pitch to strike a big blow against our
    constitutional rights.

I'd think about prioritizing SAF above the others you mentioned. They really seem to have a track record of concrete (i.e. court cases) and proactive 2A defense.

Will be joining SAF soon (life is only $150)
