    Default Uncle Mike's Ankle Holster

I am interested in purchasing an Uncle Mike's ankle holster item #UM26. Any feedback on this holster? Is it comfortable? Does it conceal well? Is there a better one out there? I will be carrying a Bersa Thunder and or a Taurus PT111. Thanks.

I do not have a Uncle Mikes ankle holster.

I do however have a Lou Allessi which I wear with docker style pants the 5 times a year I wear them.

My go to everyday ankle rig is this

This is a DeSantis Apache velcro. The gun is a Kahr P9 Covert. I just took that pic and have had this on since 5AM. I work construction and had to run as fast as these 58 yr old legs could go after work as I was in a downpour after work. It stays snug and fits above an 8" high work boot.

They were on sale a few months back so I bought 2. I wore out the first one I had which served me about 2 to 3 years before needing to replace. That was almost everyday carry(well 5 days a week).

If you have interest in this one, let me know and I'll dig up the website of the supplier.

Cool beans. It's a good choice.

I'm not sure if you can tell by the pic, I wear an elastic knee brace under the holster and over my sock. It's easier to wash and keep the holster clean from sweat.

Practice presenting the pistol. You can do it fairly quick but not as fast as belt carry. Driving makes it readily accessible by pulling up the pantleg.

Although my Glock23 is my primary carry gun, the Kahr and ankle rig are probably used more by me.

you just need to practice more, I'm a big unsteady guy and a draw from my ankle takes about .5sec more than my hip draw, sometimes less. And from a car it can't be beat. It's not for everyone, just saying it can be done effectively.
