    Default Selling Rifle & Shotguns

Can anyone answer me this, I went and bought a S&W MP15 and a Mossberg 935, looking to sell off a Mossberg 590 and a Ruger Mini 14, do I go through a dealer to transfer when i find a buyer or just fill out a bill of sale ? I also came across a 50cal black powder rifle, will i need to do any paper work when i find a buyer ?
    thanks

If you sell a long gun face to face to another PA resident, no FFL or paperwork is needed. A bill of sale is a good idea but not required. I would also look at their drivers license / LTCF to prove they are PA residents.

    What Guns4Fun said.

The blackpowder gun isn't a firearm even by federal law. They can be mail ordered and shipped to your door even across state lines.

You can also ship long guns to the buyer as long as they are PA residents and their mailing address matches the one on their current license. It is a little risky but as long as you get a few forms of ID it can be fairly convenient.

Does that mean anyone can carry a loaded blackpowder pistol?

I believe that knight0334's statement, which is correct (as usual ), is in the
context of transfer restrictions in general and 18 USC 922 requirements in particular. It cannot be applied to other areas such as carry restrictions because that is a state issue and varies based on locale.

Yes, except prohibited persons. PA's law still considered them "firearms" for prohibited persons. And if they meet the physical dimensions of a "firearm", they are a "firearm" in the prohibition of concealment and vehicle transporting thus requiring a LTCF.
