    Default Chevy Suburban

I think that the wife is going to take my cherokee now that her mini van is about dead so i found a 1990 Suburban with 95k on the clock, it's in excllent shape. Anybody ever had a Suburban, i don't worry about gas mileage, i just want to go back to a big, heavy, i'll run your sorry ass over if you get in my way vehicle.

I owned an '86 "Stasrcraft" version. Ultra plush interior, built in ice chest in the center console, Real teak wood for the dash & console. Loved it , except for the 13 MPG. It was certainly heavy, road like a dream cause of that. Unfortunately it drank like an overheated drunk at the pump. Not to mention it came with a 40gal. tank. ouch!!!
But I did love it when i could feed it.

You have three options: Suburban, Excursion, or a real Humvee.

I was driving a Suburban one night when a legless drunk in a Chevy Z71 pickup came onto our flightline at a high rate of speed, and headed for F15s on alert. We had to be at a high rate of speed to get between him and the planes, and then keep him away from the planes. My partner and I are still here, the Surburban was put back on the road... the Z71 was trashed, though the drunk had hit several vehicles downtown before we introduced ourselves, and before all was said and done had gotten clobbered by several more of ours as we got him into a rolling roadblock on the runway.

If you are looking for a take no prisoners, gallons per mile, rough tough solid tank of a vehicle I've gotta say the Suburban certainly fills that ticket! Not to mention they are so frigging huge I'm not sure you can fill them up LOL
