Ok, I just woke up, had coffee & am a bit bored before I head out...I'm not making excuses for this thread,,,ok, well mabey alittle......so my gun is a revolver, & her name is Missy! She's rather on the less than feminine side but she makes up for it with her beautifully sharpie colored hollow points.....uhm, hope the ink chemicals don't screw up my girl when I fire them off.......yes, I name my cars too, Emily is my Ford...haha,,lata!

Mistresses are often called "my girl on the side."

My gun is known as "the girl on my side."

I always thought that naming your guns was a goofy thing to do. Right up to the point that I started doing it.

It mostly started out as a goof on my wife. When I got my Draco I started teasing my wife that "she" (my Draco) was so long and sleek and sexy that she (my wife) shouldn't be surprised to come home from work to find me in bed with a Romanian. LOL! So I started calling the Draco "Natasha." My wife plays along by teasing back by saying things like "I'm not coming in there (the bedroom) as long as SHE'S in there!" My wife's a good egg for not liking guns much.

Having recently purchased a CZ 75 compact (from the Czech Republic) I figured that it was totally obvious what I had to do. I named this small, black, eastern European handgun "Boris." Now I have Boris and Natasha. What can I say? I've always been a big "Bullwinkle" fan.

However, whenever I take both guns to the range, I'm obligated to shout out "Take dat, moose and squirrel!" every time I shoot.

goofy but come on now you gotta admit its fun & if your a spiritual nutter butter like myself, if you believe in the transferrable energy of love, like, & aura instillment into inanimate objects, like ur favorite car, boat, whatever, mabey we do put some of our soul into it, giving it a little character and divine inexplicable life! idk for sure,,but i can swear sometimes my smith&wesson purrs when i stroke her ever soo delicately with her cleaning brush! hehe..

Best name I've run across was an old black powder shooter. Named his 'Old Rustaway.'
