In case some of you don’t know where Pitcairn-Monroeville Sportsmen's Club is the same gun club that PAFOA holds it informal shoots in Allegheny County by insection of route 30 & 48.

Todd Palin Coming to Pennsylvania Saturday - Sportsmen for McCain-Palin Tour!!!

As I announced last night on the conference call, Todd Palin is coming to Pennsylvania this weekend for a Sportsmen Tour through the Commonwealth. You all asked for him, so you got him! We need to get HUGE crowds to each of these events. I told them this was the guy you wanted to see, so he's coming to see you. We now have the green light to release all of this information, so please send this out to everyone you know and get on the phone to let them know Todd is coming to see them in Western PA and in Central PA on Saturday. I will have Sportsmen for McCain t-shirts and hats as well as Sportsmen Volunteer sign-up sheets on hand at each event. I will also let you know where our tailgate is going to be at PSU.

I have one request of all of you.

IF there is a sign saying NO Firearm around Todd Palin or they metal detectors that the secret service has around to protect the safety of the Todd Palin.

PLEASE don’t make a big scene, follow the instructions of the Secret Service they have a very difficult job to do, don’t make it worse. IF the Secret Service ask you to secure you firearm in your vehicle just cooperate. Don’t make this event into a negative reflection on responsible gun owners or Pitcairn-Monroeville Sportsmen's Club.

I would also request you not to open carry, IF you still feel you have to make a political statement by OC, Please cooperate with anything extra the Secret Service request of you.


Kim Stolfer and many others have worked very hard to make this local event happen for all of you to enjoy, so please conduct yourself with honor, respect and dress appropriately the media will be there ready to make all responsible gun owners look bad IF you provide them the opportunity.

I look forward to meeting many of you there before that I have not had the pleasure to yet meet on PAFOA

Please no one take my comments about OCers having, implying or causing any greater problems than anyone else would with a firearm create at this event. I also engage in OC for more than 20 years, not to the level that many others do daily, still probably longer than most.

At this point I do not know IF the Secret Service will even allow anyone even near the protected person with a firearm OC or CC so it might be a moot point anyway. Immediately after Kim Stolfer contact me after the thumbs up was given for this event and I shared it with my fellow PAFOA people first.

It was my personal request ONLY, just no one PLEASE don't embarrass all the people that work very hard to get these events for you to enjoy, most of you have NO IDEA of what required to do something involving the Secret Service especially considering its at a Gun Club.

Sorry for any possible confusion or perceived slight that my post might have caused anyone, it was not its intent, just remember what this event is for and what is at stake to all of US, with possible NEGATIVE national spotlight on all firearm owners. You don't want to be that person so act accordingly and have a good time

Make no mistake about this is a rare opportunity that is being offered anyone that attends to meet and talk with people that have influence over our future. Many local and state politicians will be there. I will also be able to confirm attorney general Tom Corbett being there very soon


I have been burned by people ruining lots of hard work by some short sighted person own actions or agenda that taken the focus off the cause and couldn't have done a better job for the other side if they were paid to screw us anymore as a agent provocateur would accomplish.

There's a lot going on here that day but we might try to make it. My 5 year old (named Sarah) thinks it's great that there's someone named "Sarah" running along side McCain. She's my little tape recorder.

As a member of the club I would like to say "this rocks" and this is also a good chance for people to see what our great club offers.

My first thought was "Ummm... yay?"

Honestly a bit disappointing because I thought Sarah Palin was coming.
HOWEVER, I will go to show my support. It will be interesting to see something like this in person for the first time.

Todd Palin will be at the Clubhouse on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 10:00AM. This is a NRA endorsed event and is "open to the public". Everyone can attend!

PMSC forum is noting a "TIME CHANGE" of 10:00am - Can this be confirmed?

I'll go with the 10am time just to be safe.
