Poofa-Radio, Whadda ya wanna hear?
Hey guys and gals, we are trying to schedule some differing genres of music and such on poofa-radio. So seeing as how the majority of our listers are from here, what would you most like to hear?
For those that don't know. Poofa Radio is an online radio station frequented by many of the folks from the PAFOA, if you wanna listen in, it runs 24 hours now, www.poofa-radio.com (hit the button up top to listen and place on-line requests) Often whoever is dj;ing is in flash chat when they are on the air anyway so you can always ask in there too.Last edited by Montanya; June 29th, 2008 at 07:51 PM.

Re: Poofa-Radio, Whadda ya wanna hear?
Classic rock was my first choice (I like the way the music industry came up with a genre name for those of us who aren't ready to admit that they're oldies)
Active rock would be a second (also never heard it called that, but the groups you listed made it clear)
Reggae wasn't a choice, but it don't get no better than Bob Marley and some iced Red Stripe on a warm summer night next to the pool. You are a straight white man. You don't get to be the victim, sweetie.

Re: Poofa-Radio, Whadda ya wanna hear?
Well for lack of a better term that seems to be the industry terminology for it. It's not quite stupid enough to be called "Alternative" and not quite tame enough to be Adult Contemporary.
That was why I felt the need to post some examples for each category so people were more aware of what I was talking about.
The idea is, right now, the DJ's are pretty much playing what we THINK people want to hear. So figured the best way to know for sure is just to ask, we might THINK you don't wanna hear rap but really we gotta bunch of Snoop Dog fans out there wondering why we never play it. So hit the poll, post your comments. Also for song suggestions we have a small board over on the web site just for the station. www.poofa-radio.com/board and there is a section for song suggestions.
Thanks to everyone who listens, gives feedback and overall helps make this more fun.

Re: Poofa-Radio, Whadda ya wanna hear?
How about Blues: Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, Buddy Guy, John Mayall, Paul Butterfield, Albert King and soooo many more.
How about Southern Rock: Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Government Mule, The Outlaws, Marshall Tucker Band, Little Feat etc.
I was listening Friday night and making requests, lots of good stuff to choose from already, seemed like I was the only listener as my songs came up right away, but when I was listening on Saturday night I got a message, after making only one request, that I had reached my maximum request limit of 30 songs per day, I'm guessing that meant one 24 hour period and my requests from the night before were still counting.
All in all, you guys have done a good job.
Bill
