Schuylkill County Members: Roll Call
Here's you chance to prove to the rest of the state that we coal-regioners actually do know how to form full sentences.
I'm currently residing in Shenandoah Heights. Shoot regularly at a "free range" on the "Burma Road" outside St. Clair and Tulpehocken Rifle & Pistol Club.
Let's hear it for pierogies, Yuengling, and strip mines!

Howdy Neighbor, I too have been up "Burma Road" lots of great times there. Friend has a place in Barnesville. Usually thats where we end up after a day of shooting.

There was a pretty good crowd up there when I was testing my Semi-1919, just got done with the build and burned through about 400 rounds.

Some days it can get pretty crowded up there. Typically, I try to avoid going there on the weekend and if I do, I get there early in the day to make sure I grab a bench.
You have the regulars that are there every night. Older bunch, and they are very knowledgable and friendly. "Joe" is the unofficial rangemaster. He's there just about every day, if just to snatch all the brass thats accumulated.

Directions to the "Free Range":
Take Rt. 61 North to St. Clair.
At Second stop light, make a right.
Proceed strait through another stoplight (you'll be leaving St. Clair at this point)
You will be driving up a mountain road (yes, it is paved). Drive on this road for about .75 mile. Look on your Right for the range - it is after a slight turn in the road. It is unmarked, but you can see the shooting benches from the road.
Virtually anything is allowed (yes, to full auto).
(If you get lost, ask anyone in St. Clair where the "Burma Road" is and they'll direct you.)
