Guide Pin Lasers?
Anybody have a guide pin laser in an XD40 or XD45?

Re: Guide Pin Lasers?
Pro's:
If you are smart, you will have a back up laser to guide your wayward shots in extreme circumstances when getting a decent site picture is not an option.
Con's:
If your spiffy guide rod laser breaks, you now have an inoperable hunk of plastic and steel that will do you little good in a gun fight.
A much preferable alternitive is a Crimson Trace grip laser, or a laser that attaches to the rail of your spiffy gun.

Re: Guide Pin Lasers?
I've done the rail thing, too bulky for carry. I expect that I'll put tritium sites on it as soon as I get it, too, and I doubt I'd use the laser for more than 'conformation' anyway...
I saw them, and they kind of intrigued me, but you are probably right about the grip laser."...a REPUBLIC, if you can keep it."
