I've always seen that video posted under "Why NOT to use a Fobus holster"

I OC with Comp-Tac paddle - the velcro tabs keep the holster right where I put it. I use the same brand holster for IDPA and IPSC competitions.

Why didnt they give a closeup of the back of the holster or the front of the paddle? Did it actually break or does it come apart by design? I've seen cheap paddles that the holster is designed to come off by twisting it to connect it to an IWB attachment.

That's a Fobus Kydex holster. One of my friends has one for his Ruger, and I have to say after looking at it, It's not meant to come apart at all. It's riveted together.

What happens in the video is the rivets are ripped out of the paddle by the twisting motion.

You'll never break a Blackhawk that way. For one thing, they are Carbon Fiber, not Kydex. For another thing, they are built MUCH better.

I've hung my entire 280lbs weight off of the butt of my gun and it didn't even damage the holster.

I've seen this video under multiple names, one was Fobus something or other, but other names have listed other manufacturers and its always the same short clip. Everytime I see it I ask the same questions bc they don't actually show us the holster or paddel close up. Makes it look staged.

I call BS. If your not gonna show who made the holster in your vid, then I call staged BS. Try that with my blackhawk and see what happens.
