2 Day Home Defensive Pistol Course

This course is held over two days (8/17 and 8/18) and is designed to take someone with basic pistol handling skills and teach them the knowledge and skills needed to successfully use a pistol defensively in the home.

This course is unlike any other class you will take. It includes actionable steps to prevent your home from being broken into, classroom-based instruction, range time with home defense-specific drills as well as a session taught by a practicing PA lawyer who specializes in firearm/use of force laws.

Prerequisites:
At least 21 years old
The ability to shoot 10/10 rounds on a vertical 8 1/2" X 11" paper at 7 yards.*
Documentation of clean criminal history (PA. State Police background check, letter from a local Police Chief, valid PA LTCF, etc.)


Required Equipment:
Pistol you plan to use at home
2+ magazines/speed loaders
200+ rounds of ammunition Minimum
-If you cannot bring 200 rounds due to the cost/shortage of ammunition,
contact the instructor and we might be able to work with you with the ammo you have
10 rounds of dummy ammunition
Range-appropriate holster
Hat, Eye and Ear protection
Flashlight
Documentation of Clear Criminal History

Recommended Equipment:
Pouch for spare magazines
Sturdy belt


Cost: $250 / person ($225/person if household members attend together)
Deposit: $125 / person

*If a person is interested in attending this course but cannot meet the entry marksmanship requirement, contact us and, at the discretion of the owner and/or instructors, we will help you reach this level prior to the first day of the course.
