    Default New toy....possible new favorite!!

With these crazy prices on ammo and my lack of comittment (and time) to engage in reloading my own ammunition, i decided to have some fun with this new little plinker....ive never owned a .22 cal anything, and i wish i would have had one earlier, tons of fun, and can shoot all day for under $20!!!

Congrats on your new plinker! I have guns in several calibers but my .22's by far get the most range time. Their affordability to shoot is the main reason but also their light recoil. I don't enjoy being beat up by the recoil of larger calibers. It's fun for a while, but I can shoot my .22's all day.

The P22 is a fun little gun. A buddy of mine has one. It's reasonably accurate and very easy to shoot. My one ding against it though is they do tend to wear out. I've seen numerous reports of the slides breaking. Make sure you inspect it each time you clean. Look for any signs of cracks or excessive wear.

If you enjoy the P22, you would probably also enjoy the Ruger MKIII 22/45. It's built solid and is more accurate than the P22. You can also tweak it with target grade trigger parts. I absolutely love mine.

    Enjoy your new toy!

Congrats! I love my P22 too. I put a ACC pilot suppressor on it and I can shoot it all day...
