    Default Chrome a AK receiver

Anyone ever did or even tried this? I am thinking about doing it at a local bike shop. Just thought I'd ask about it before even driving to that shop. I am afraid that the receiver won't work properly after chroming it.

    Thanks

Ive seen hard chromed ak s on a website before i can remember where...

Is this just the receiver? or are all the rails and stuff already welded on?AND are you doing the outside and the inside? correct me if im wrong but chrome shouldn't affect operation of the weapon

someone should make a stainless steel ak .That would make an already tough weapons platform even better....Im full of creative unconventional ideas

I think that it was centerfiresystems that used to sell chrome yugo UFs. One of our members here have one but I forget who.

The chroming will not effect the operation of the gun at all.

    here is one on GB

Yeah, chrome doesnt look good on an AK. Gold looks better, but unless i was an evil dictator i wouldnt go for that either.

Wow...that puppy is bright. I just played with an all-black WASR today. I like it better.

If you want to be creative, pick a nice, happy color. Or you could go with a rainbow motif.

You'd need sunglasses to shoot it because you'd be that cool.

I wonder how many "range thugs" would still say, "Yo...is that a Glock?"

I was going to do everything in my power to talk you out of it but it seems the pic did the trick ....

So that's just SO tacky it's not funny, something you would see being carried by a homeboy, complete with huge gold $ pennant on a 5 ounce gold chain, gold front teeth and their pants half way down their ass.

Besides why in gods name would you want to take the 'evil' out of 'evil black rifle' ........ just sayin

    I don't own an Ak....

But if that Chrome one wasn't 1500 it would be mine.

Either an AR or AK is next on the list, which one to get?
