Default Where to rent rifles in Philly?

I am visiting my brother this week in Philly, and thought it would be nice to find a range and rent some rifles. I am 19 and he is 22, so obviously I am not able to fire pistols. I have fired a few rifles before, while my brother has never fired a gun.

Is there anywhere near philly that allows you to rent rifles? I saw classic pistol, but according to their website, you have to own a firearm in order to rent, so that doesn't work.

There wouldn't be an issue driving 30-40 minutes for a range if needed.

Philadelphia Archery and Gun. It's an indoor range, but then I don't know of any outdoor ranges that rent.

So you don't have to be a member to rent there?

I'm reasonably sure you can rent as a non-member.

    Best to call, though:

SPAG - South Philadelphia Archery and Gun is your best bet.
Its probably one of the nicest indoor ranges I've ever seen, and that staff is very friendly and helpful.

Be prepared to pay an arm and a leg though. I'm talking.... at least $250 for a few hours worth of fun. You'll have to pay $15 per person, plus $25 per rifle (I think), and you must buy ammo from them, which is expensive as it is.

Call them and ask. Also, mention that both of you have zero experience with guns, so they make sure to go over all the safety points with you.

Classic Pistol rents rifles, though they are a bit outside of Philly.

As I mentioned in the first post, I don't think that will work, as it says:
"Please note. Our rental policy only allows us to rent to two or more people or individuals that have their own firearms with them."

I'll give a call to SPAG later, hopefully they'll be fine

I think you might be parsing the policy wrong. The policy as I understand it is that they'll rent guns to:

    1. Two or more people in a group, OR
    2. Individuals that have their own firearms with them.

Give them a call to be sure, but I believe that's how the policy works.

you don't have to own or bring your own gun to rent a rifle/pistol at classic pistol. i shoot at classic pistol all the time and i always see people renting guns that don't have heir own guns with them.

Hm yeah I think I did completely interpret that wrong. I'll give both classic pistol and SPAG tomorrow. I'm sure I can get something to work between the two of them.

    Thanks everyone!
