Default Aimpoint Mounting - Loctite or Clear Nail Polish?

Just got a new Aimpoint Comp M3 red dot and I'm planning to mount it on a Larue Tactical LT129. My brother-in-law recommended that I use clear nail polish on the screws instead of the Loctite that came with the LT129.

He explained that Loctite, while great for ensuring screws don't back out of screw holes, can be difficult to unscrew when it comes time to remove the Aimpoint from the mount.

He suggested using clear nail polish on the screws instead as it works just as good as Loctite for holding screws securely, yet much easier to disassemble the Aimpoint from the mount than Loctite.

Anyone have any comments/experience using Loctite versus clear nail polish?

I can't vouch for clear nail polish, but with so many strengths (by color!) of loctite, I would just go with that. Blue would be the highest strength to go, but I bet purple would be sufficient.

Hhaha, I once used red Loctite to mount the scope on my new Remington 700BDL Custom Deluxe 30.06 . Left for hunting camp Sunday after Church. Got there and was going to fire a 2 shot group to get it sighted in. Couldn't remove the bolt! Loctite went down the threads and onto the bolt. Yep, Loctite'd my bolt solid. SUCK!!! Brute force was all that was able to get it out.

Just degrease the screws and holes thoroughly with acetone.
You do not need any type of thread locker whatever for the application you cited.

I've used clear nail polish for years on iron sights, trigger adjustment screws, etc. It has never let me down.
