I think the shoots on the "left side" of the Commonwealth get a fairly large turnout. I have seen some of the photos, it is rather impressive.

I would love to actually break down and make one of the events. Maybe have a real reason to showup up on a Federal Watchlist j/k It is just that Sunday is my only day off, and I think the shoots are on Saturdays I knew I should have listened to my Guidance Counselor, but noooo, instead, I went for the 70's Action TV Show Lifestyle, dumb, dumb, dumb

From a safety standpoint (and not holding the event at a range), I can see the attraction of a 'show and tell' event. All arms are cold (verified, of course), and since there is no shooting at all, there is far less chance of a mix-up. Any hot arms being carried for SD remain in their holsters (as always), and are not part of "the show." I agree that this would make a nice variation of a typical social event, without the need to drag along all the extra baggage for a full-out shoot.

And Scott....the Westie shoots are on Sundays.

I had one of these once. Keith, his wife, fingers, and seventy4blazer, and I got together for lunch in PA, then went to my place afterwards and the carry guns were veiwed and fired and we all had a great time. Of course extra stupid things had to be done with the carry guns due to coming and being in MD, but I am very close to the border. It's also out in the sticks here, the worst common crime is chicken snatching by foxes LOL. Despite 2-3 hours of shooting, none of the neighbors complained. I do think if I had a bump fire party, that a neighbor might call the cops though LMAO!

So to do this type thing, it would be easier if one of the group has property with their own private lil range not too far from the meet and eat location.

LOL btw at the Gettysburg OC lunch I actually had an older man try to show me his revolver. He actually unholstered it and started handing in across the table ( safely at least!). It was like me having to scold a child! I was like " no no, put that away!" Thank goodness we were in the seperate room, and I'm not even sure anyone else in the OC group even saw it happen.

Sorry, I clicked this thread immediately when I saw Show and Tell GTG... Figured us people in the East were gonna get frisky w/ the gtg's and go to Show and Tell "Adult Entertainment Center" lol...

I may be interested in the other option as well though! hah
