Yeah. What's wrong with ammo that's only 20 yrs old?

As long as it's not corroded, 50 yr old ammo should function just fine.

I shot a lot of Vietnam era GI ammo when I was in the service.

    Congrats on your first C&R.

ohh ok i was warned that ammo has a shelf life and if its too old you shouldnt use it cuz the powder gets unstable after a while under pressure...

When stored properly, Ammo and powder have extremely long shelf lives.

IF...stored properly there is no reason that WWI and WWII manufactured ammo should not function properly. Most ammo does not contain a compressed charge of powder, so it is not under pressure.

I fired Artillery powder charges (up to 16lbs of powder in one charge) in the mid 90's that were manufactured as early as 1965. the sealed tubes were rusty and cruddy, but still air tight and never had a problem.

Southern Ohio Guns (SOG) 1-800-944-4867 New manufacture, 160 gr. bullet FMJ Box of 20 is $39.95 plus shipping. I hear Remington is going to start producing it again.
