Default Walmart employee states they are no longer ordering ammo??

This may be and probably is BS but though I'd ask:

Went to my local wally world today on the slim chance there may be a box or two of some 9mm and of course there was nothing. I asked the counter jockey when they expected more ammo and she told me they "aren't allowed to order any more because of impending ammo restrictions???" I told her I had not heard of any such thing. This is crazy, I can't even get a box of ammo for the range. My LGS had 50 count boxes of 9mm for $30 a box!!!!!! This ammo problem is basically a gun ban in itself. Can't afford to shoot even if you find the stuff. I'm sure this person didn't know what she was talking about but figured I'd ask if there is any credibility to this? Just had to vent...
Now less Glock, more H&K :)

I saw a report a while back that Walmart was going to be allocating ammo to stores, rather than having stores order it, due to the shortages. Maybe this is what she was referring to.

Last time I was in a Wal-Mart, I asked the man if he had any .22LR or 9MM behind the counter. He replied, "Nope, and it will be like that until the bozo stays in the White House." I chuckled... refraining from my rant against Congress, the Judicial system, and criminals ;o

Bingo. You didn't understand what she mean't.

Curse capitalism for $30 boxes of 9mm.

I guess they (particular stores) are not ordering, because iit makes no sense. They'll just take whatever corp throws at them and sell it within 20 minutes anyway.

WalMart is still ordering ammunition, they are just having the same problems as everybody else with the common calibers. Its in and out quick these days. Hell, I just cleaned my local WalMart out of the last three boxes of .357mag, even though I hate paying better than a buck a boollit! But it is Federal JHP, so it didn't hurt quite so much. Also cleared Dunham's (one lousy box of Blazer JHP, whoopdidoo) and made a serious dent in a local gunshop's .38SP LRN (target practice, woohoo! Finally get to shoot something this weekend!)

All the common handgun ammo is at a premium these days. Everybody is arming up. Me, I'm still looking for a decent rifle with good range. I'd rather shoot them when they are far away than when they are up close....but that's just me.
