Where were they when the SAFE ACT was just a bill?

It takes time to organize a rally and inform people that a rally exists. Sandy Hook happened on 12/14 and the SAFE Act was passed on 1/15/13. So there really was not much time that the act was an actual proposal. It flew threw to Cuomo's desk.

The bill was never given the public comment time as their law requires, it was drafted in secret and voted on in the dead of night and signed the next day.


The entire people of NY were blindsided, hopefully they will now realize that elections have consequences, protest voting has consequences and sitting home on election day does as well.
