S&W 642
I just bought my wife a S&W 642 today.
She's shot my Glocks & Ruger many times & likes to shoot, but she just doesn't have the strength in her hands/arms to rack the slides on them. We looked at all the small semis, but she couldn't operate any of them. Then we tried a S&W & she fell in love with it.
Anyway, when we took the labrador for her daily walk this afternoon I pulled the gun out of my pocket & gave it to her. She immediately checked to make sure it was unloaded & said, "Where's the bullets?" I handed her 10 of them & her earplugs, then took the dog further up the road & waited. It didn't take long for her to shoot them all & when she caught up to us she asked if I had any more.
I guess she likes it. Can't get that from QVC!"It's hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong."

Damn fine revolver indeed. Too bad .38 ammo is so hard to find.

Re: S&W 642
I bought the S&W at Cabelas. I had over $60 Cabelas Bucks & a coupon for $100 off for a >$500 purchase. The gun was $479 & with the ammo, that gave me over $500. Soooo....I only had to pay out about $340. For a new S&W! I can live with that.
They had plenty of .38 Spl ammo. That's about the only pistol ammo they had a variety of."It's hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong."
