    Default First Stag

Well after months of waiting.....and waiting....and more waiting she finally came in. Model 15T bone stock right now, I will add a optic when the funds grow again. I also picked up a few additional mags for keeping and range use. I have not been able to get out and shoot it yet but I should hopefully be able to soon. Also being that this is my first (hopefully not last) AR I am still making my way through the manual to get comfortable on knowing how it works.

I got a question about the Arms 40L sight I have on it, there is a little wire that runs through the main hinge pin of the sight. What's it for?

I will try tp upload a few better pics later on, she just got over her camer shyness.

It keeps the "nut" attached to the unit so you can't lose it when taking it off.

(I was confused by it as well)

Are you going to be bringing it to the group shoot on Sunday?

I have a Stag Model 2T as well. Put on a Eotech 512, Larue FUG, Surefire E2D with a Larue mount, Harris bipod with Larue mount, Magpul MIAD grip, and Magpul ASAP plate. I also just recently bought a CMMG .22LR conversion kit for it. I'll post pictures as soon as I can - hopefully it will give you an idea of possible directions to go.

I thought the wire was supposed to be removed as soon as you got your upper, so I took my wire off. It was annoying. Then I found out you're supposed to leave it on. I regret not asking about it before I acted...I'm too impatient.

To the OP, very nice looking rifle! I think you'll be very pleased with your Stag!

I am leaning towards a new eotech with the buttons on the side, I forget the model numbers (having money in my wallet always helps me remember). I am not going to bi pod this, I just fell since it is a carbine it is too short. As far as everything else goes I would like to get a front grip, swap out the pistol grip for a magpul maid, get a magnifier for the optic i choose, get rid of the A frame front sight and put on a low profile front block and get a front troy flip up, possible put on a little longer rail (still debating), haven't decided on a light yet but one will make it on, and a sling.

Thank you for the responses about the wire on the sight, it seems to confuse a lot of people when I try to describe it to them.

get some magpul followers for those mags, check the staking on the bcg, add your optic of choice and take a basic carbine class, oh and have fun.
