    Wink 85 Rounds, One Body

I just read this article. Another "model citizen" killed by the police.

"They killed this man for no reason."

Your damned if you do and damned if you don't! If that guy would have shot somebody they would have said"where are all the police at?" They did show up so it's now "that guy was a good man they(the police) executed him" You can't win in Philly if you are the police.

look at the contradictions. first they say he was deranged and on PCP, but then ask why they didn't try to reason with him. there's no reasoning with someone like that. if the guy would have opened fire and killed an innocent, they'd be complaining that the police didn't do their job.

you can't win with people like that so why even try.

He was smoking "wet". Either tobacco or marijuana dipped in embalming fluid.

I guess he was boning up for his masters thesis.

Can you imagine being in that neighborhood and hearing 85 shots? That has to be a bit unnerving...

It's worse than that. There are now plenty of witnesses that saw what the cops did. If he had shot someone and walked back into his house not one of these people would have cooperated with PPD to have the man arrested and his stolen gun removed from the community.

85 shots from 7 officers? That's an average of 12 shots per officer and the statement was that no one reloaded would seem to mean that each of them emptied their magazines or close to it. Add to that the hits from friendly fire and this was would hardly seem to have been handled as well as it could have.

Miller was a well-known neighborhood character. His silver Mustang was still parked outside his house yesterday.
    Who cares?

"They are supposed to shoot to disarm, not like an animal to slaughter."
These people watch too many action movies if they believe the cops are going to shoot the gun from his hand. They shoot to neutralize the threat, if he's still standing, he's a threat.

If Miller had been Caucasian, "police would have negotiated with him," said neighbor Bahiyah Aldin.
This one baffles me. Is he saying that if he was Caucasian that he would have listened to police and put down his weapon? If he successfully puts down his weapon then PPD negotiated with him, if he refuses then the PPD executed him for not reason once he points his weapon at police.

Although one neighbor said the gun couldn't be fired, Castro said it was "fully operable."
The neighbor said it couldn't be fired? Is he saying that he knew about this man's possession of a stolen handgun?

    And on and on...

The scary part is there were 3 officers hit with friendly fire. They are more of a danger to themselves.

2 officers were treated for grazing wounds from friendly fire?

What, did they surround him and then all shoot?

I agree that was some bad shooting by the cops. I've never been in a situation where I need to shoot to take someone down. So I couldn't say that I would do any better...

I know there are tons of reports of people on PCP that just don't go down. If that guy was still standing I would empty my magazine for sure. Until that gun is out of his hand he's still a threat.

The part about the nurse being refused to give him CPR. Are they serious?? The guy had 21 bullets in him. I really don't think CPR would help him.
