There's a subtle difference between gunshots and fireworks. Most of the time i can tell, but regardless, no need to get stressed until you hear a "zip-crack"

Maybe it is you. Then again, maybe it isn't. The loud noises drive my dog nuts, though. Hold me, protect me, let me crawl under your skin, pant pant drool drool. Luckily, the other dogs don't seem to care. Of course, out here in the boonies we're used to hearing gunfire up the valley any time of the year whenever someone does some target shooting.

theres so many damn diff kinds of them anymore but at first some catch me off guard, certain ones dont sound anything like it but every so often you'll double think.... but also just came over the scanner while i was typing this someone took adivce from the other 4th of july related thread and started shooting their gun..

Yes it's just you man and no one else, lol! Just kidding. Yeah all day people in my neighborhood have been lighting up those fireworks. It was bothersome at first, but now I'm getting used to it. Tomorrow it'll be much louder than today.

I'm cool with it, except the occasional asshole round here doing quarter sticks to wake ya up and then firecrackers to keep ya awake. Had that go on for a half hour the other night. Dog doesn't flinch either

I love watching them whether they're the professional displays or in someone's backyard, BUT...
They're for the FOURTH OF JULY!
Not for the twenty first of June, or the sixth of August, or the second Sunday of September...
Drive to wherever you have to drive to buy them, buy them in massive quantities if you wish, set them of illegally if you feel the need to show off for the neighbors... I don't care.
Just SET THEM ALL OFF on the FOURTH and be done with it for God's sake! You'll be the coolest MOFO on the block and my dog won't look like he needs to be tranquilized for the next month and a half every time someone sets of two, measly F-ing bottle rockets at 1:00am!

Oh, and if a bullet lands on my truck again this year...
