Pucker up!
I got into a discussion today with the assistant manager of the store where I work.
The previous night Lucas and I went into the convenience store that I work to pick some things up. Lucas was open carrying his Vaquero. The assistant manager waited on us but didn't say anything about it.
Today when he came into work he approached me about it.
He said "The next time you and your fiance come in, you might want to make sure he has his gun covered up."
I then simply asked him "Why?"
He replied "Because it's ILLEGAL."
I calmly replied "No, it's not. It is completley LEGAL to open carry in Pennsylvania."
He then argued that I was wrong, and that I had no idea what I was talking about. He said that "you need to have a permit to carry a gun and even then, you can't open carry." "Little girl, you have no idea what you're talking about."
I then became a little annoyed. I told him that I will bet my next paycheck that I am 110% right.
I then asked him what he was going to do WHEN I proved him wrong.
He said that he would "Kiss my feet."
We shook on it.
I text messaged Lucas right away and asked him if he would bring some of Pa Patriots fliers in after work and some other proof that I was right.
We both went about our own business.
An hour or so later 3 state troopers came into the store.
I went and found my assistant manager and told him that we were going to find out who was right.
We both approached the troopers and I asked them if I could ask them a question.
I asked, "In Pennsylvania, is it legal to open carry a firearm on your person?"
The both quickly replied, "Yep, it is completely legal to open carry a firearm on your person, as long it isn't in a restricted area such as a courthouse."
My assistant manager then changed his tune and tried to play it off as, he just told me that he wasn't sure if you could or not and that he thought maybe I could be right about it. I then fired back and said " No. You told me that it was ILLEGAL and that I didn't know what I was talking about." " And remember what you said you'd do if I was right...?"
He looked like a deer in headlights.
I then took my shoe off and told him to "pucker up."
The troopers stood there and laughed right along with me. lol
Lucas came in at the end of the day with the fliers and I went back and gave him some. He was looking through it and told me "Honey jeez, I wasn't trying to make a big deal out of this."
I replied "But you were arguing about something that you had NO clue about. Read that and educate yourself."I'm not worth mugging, I only carry $20.00...... worth of ammunition.
