raging bull
anyone have thoughts on this gun???
I am considering the .44 mag because of ammo prices, but the .454 is incredibly tempting (and no, I'm not compensating... well, maybe a little)
Seriously though, anyone know the going rate on these from a dealer. I looked on gunbroker, but those prices are always higher that what I find in in the real world.
I know taurus isn't the top of the list for handgun manufacturers, but this thing is SO FREAKING COOL. Plus, lifetime warranty (even though it may take 6 months to get anything fixed).
Any experience with this gun??? or pics of one with a scope attached?
Thanks guys.

My Raging Bull in 44 Magnum
I do happen to have one & Taurus does have a good
rep for quality revolvers. The Ragging Bull is a great
one. I shoot 8 inch steel plates from 100 yds. easy
No problem what so ever, Without a doubt it is also
one one the Best looking revolvers you'll ever see.
The vented ports on the end of the barrel adds to
that tuff look.Last edited by Ronnies111; February 26th, 2009 at 08:02 PM.

Re: raging bull
This is good to hear. I'm looking at picking one up also. Not sure if I want the 44mag or the 454 though.
Your web muscles do not frighten me.

Re: raging bull
I have had an RB 454 for about 5 years now and have fired at least 4000 rounds out of it without any problems so don't hesitate to buy one. On the topic of what caliber. The 44mag is without a doubt a very versatile and powerful round but for "balls to the wall" knock down power nothing beats the 454. I also own the 2 Smith Performance Center 500mags that are truly awesome guns but the 454 is still my favorite round.

Re: raging bull
another thumbs up for the raging bull, i purchased a RB 454 casull in 1998 and have never had a problem with it. the gun is accurate and very managable to shoot due to the ported barrel. maybe 15-20 years ago taurus was in the same league as hi-point, jennings or bryco but in the past 10 years or more they have really improves their quality. i own a couple taurus pistols and have never had an issue with any of them.
