UGH, could be the death of Marvel Comics as we know them
Disney announced today they are buying Marvel comics for $4 billion:

Don't know about you but I'm not liking this one bit. I've seen Disney screw up more companies than I care to admit.

I am really pissed about this! I'm afraid we're about to see the watering down of characters to fit the Disney kid friendly image. Guys like the Punisher and Deadpool what will become of them? How about upcoming Marvel movies, how will Disney F-them up? Really sad day in my opinion.

Nope, don't see the fear here.
ABC, Lifetime, History Channel, Miramax, Touchstone, ESPN, A&E, and much much more is owned by Disney.
The biggest possible effect you'll see is that there might be some weirdness with the Marvel Characters being at a competing orlando park (Universal Studio's Orlando) but other than that I wouldn't worry at all.
Remember...under the Miramax banner Disney produced pretty much all the Tarantino and Kevin Smith films, and many other films which are fare from standard kiddie fare.
There's no reason to believe that Disney is going to do anything to the Marvel Characters that Marvel hasn't done already.
