Re: For all military vets, kinda neat
I need to do this again (remember how to do it). IIRC you get two different links to use. One of them says for use in forums.
Here is the one to use in the forum:
Copy the following BB code to display your signature in a forum
You build your signature and save it. Then it will show up in the 2 different boxes to use. Highlight the complete line, right click and press copy. Then go to the forum and paste it in the body.
I did find that if you try to put it in your signature block on the forum you get a message that it is too large. I'm trying to figure out how to make it smaller to fit in the signature block.Ron USAF Ret E-8 FFL01/SOT3 NRA Benefactor Member

Re: For all military vets, kinda neat
I thought I had it but not yet.
I was trying to resize it in Paint.
It'll come with just a little more trial and error.Mostly error to this point.

Edit. There it is. Now to see what I did to get it. I think right next to the picture is an "insert signature picture" option.
I'll go back and run through it again.
When did they change E4 to senior Airman? When I got out and on my DD214 it lists that rank as Sgt.
I was checking out my DD214 and it doesn't list my AFCM. Wonder if it can be corrected after all these years. I found the hard copy.Last edited by 27hand; March 3rd, 2008 at 10:25 PM.
Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

Re: For all military vets, kinda neat
27hand,
Yes, you can get it corrected especially if you have the hard copy of the orders. Just having the citation may work but they probably will want the orders. I am not sure where you get the forms but it goes to the Board of Military Corrections, IIRC. You might try Googling that or talk to your local recruiter, they may be able to point you in he right direction.
E-4 was split into 2 ranks in 1976, IIRC. You a re E-4 Senior Airman until you go to the NCO Leadership School (I think that's what it's called now, it used to be the NCO Preparatory School). After successful completion and a certain amount of TIG you are "promoted" to Sergeant.Ron USAF Ret E-8 FFL01/SOT3 NRA Benefactor Member
