Why doesn't everyone use neon nail polish on their sight blades?
Just curious, I've been doing it for years and was talking about it with some guys at work. None of them have even thought about it. I understand night sights on a edc piece but when you have 30+ firearms that's alittle ridiculous. My range toys all get a dab of neon orange glow in the dark nail polish which costs about $1.79 per bottle.
Yes, I even do this on my ARs mbus.

Its more expensive but I use "bright sights" sight paint in yellow or green ghost glow on most of my guns

Testors enamel works well also and so does Jig & Lure coating (and its impervious to gun cleaning solvents too). The most important step is degreasing and cleaning the sights before applying the coloring agent.

I do, but I change it often to match the polish on my toes when I wear flip flops.

When I need something paint - white nail polish or model paint works fine for me.
Some guns I keep "natural", others I will paint as mentioned above, some I will polish the metal until it shines like a mirror, and others I leave them natural but will file grooves in the front blade for different ranges.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515, SteveWag

If I painted my front sight it would cover my fancy green fiber optic rod.
