Default Suggestions / Ideas for Mag Identification

I used to stick a green rubber band on the bottom of the mags I had filled with xm855. (steel "penetrator" rounds)
Obviously the ones WITH the green tip are easily verified visually, but some brands don't have a green tip - hence the desire to ID the ammo at a glace via green rubber band on the mag.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a source for something that would work in this manner.

I'm specifically looking for ideas for 5.56x45/.223 AR15 and maybe 7.62x39 AK47 mags, but feel free to add your thoughts on "marking" any type of mag here.

I did a search and I see at least three manufacturers of silicone ID Bands, but each has the caliber printed on them. I don't really need the caliber as I don't have any other calibers that I could mix up. I'd prefer just a band in various colors that I can assign to various loads.

Example of the bands with caliber labels...

The ones with the red tape are live, the blue ones are blanks.

I got a label maker for Christmas a few years ago. At the time, I thought it was the dumbest gift ever. Now I love the thing. I label all my gun stuff. Ammo cans, Rubbermaid bins that hold my pistol mags, and my AR mags. I have a .22 caliber suppressor so I keep a handful of magazines for my Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 loaded with sub sonic ammo. I just print out a label for what ammo I have loaded and stick it to the side of the magazine.

    P-Touch my brother....P-Touch.
That with some phase tapes (colored electrical tape) and Gorilla tape, as well as colored duct tape.
    Paint markers work well also.

Endless combos that can make id-ing your mags easy, even in darkness if needed.

I can't believe a product like what I want does not exist beyond "caliber label" bands.

I'm the only person who thinks it would be great to know at a glance which mags have 55 gr ammo and which are 62 gr - HP or FMJ???

I looked a while and all I see on Google is the caliber marked bands.

I don't want to use tape or paint if I can avoid it.

Maybe I'll just go to the office supply store and see what sort of rubber bands they have.

Cool. If I give up and decide to use tape this is a good resource. Lots of options.
I like that they have 1/4" and 1/8" too.
