    Default 200gr Cor-Bon 45 colt pressure?

Anyone happen to know what pressures that Cor-Bon 200gr +p in .45 colt produce? I've tried to email Dakota Ammo numerous times, with no response. I ended up with a box of these somehow and something tells me not to try them in my new model vaquero.

I have loading data for a low pressure (safe for a "new" model) load that pushes a 200 gr pill at similar velocities, but reloading data and factory loads are two completely different things.

Looks like I might have to buy a Blackhawk, just to use this ammo. What a shame. LOL!

I'd avoid them in the new model Vaquero.

Its built on specs closer to the original Colt. With today's metallurgy, I'm sure it'll handle more than the original - but the new Vaquero isn't built as strong as the old model, blackhawks, or Freedom Arms.

That was pretty much my thought. Guess I'll have to buy a new gun to get rid of this box of ammo, damn!

Not that I'm looking for excuses or anything.

    Lucas,

We do not recommend using any of our +P 45 Colt ammo in the newer Vaquero's with the thin top strap. Those guns are made for the older standard pressure 45 Colt loads.
