Act 235
I have a ccw, would I also need act 235 certificate to carry in church for security reasons?. What if I needed to use my weapon to protect the pastor from an intruder. I don't take a salary for carry concealed,we are just putting together a security program.

Re: Act 235
When I got my Act 235 there was a guy there who was going to do church security. IANAL but I think you are on the line of needing your 235. If you were just a church goer and used your firearm to protect yourself or any other church member you are ok. Now you are talking a security program is the church going to insure you and the boys? I think you need to consult the church insurance rep. and a lawyer.

Re: Act 235
To save the church some liability risks it would probably be better that there ISN'T a security detachment. ..having such, the church then gains some liability.
Just show up to church for services with your carry piece.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515, SteveWag
