6-Year-Old Given Detention, Forced to Apologize
6-Year-Old Given Detention, Forced to Apologize After Bringing This Seriously Tiny Plastic Gun on School Bus
A 6-year-old kindergarten student in Massachusetts is accused of causing a “disturbance” and “traumatizing” other students by bringing a very tiny plastic toy gun on the school bus last week.
The “gun” brandished by the young boy was barely bigger than a quarter.

How very sad. These stories make me glad I don't have kids.

This country has literally, LITERALLY, lost its mind. What's that saying about beind so open minded that your brain falls out? I think that's what's happened.

they can't take the guns away, but if the next generation has been instilled from birth to hate them, they won't have to take anything, no one will want them!

Fortunately, my son is almost 19 and has been taught to know better.

Re: 6-Year-Old Given Detention, Forced to Apologize
It sounds like a 6 year old was traumatized, alright.
If zero tolerance policies are the way we're going to handle things in our schools, then we no longer need highly educated and experienced school administrators. Any fool can follow a rigid list of rules and punishments. Experience and judgement no longer apply, so why bear the burden of paying for what we no longer require?
I only hope that parents in the future get to choose where their children and tax dollars go to school. A little freedom of choice would go a long way.
