    Utah FTW!!

Cheaper up front, cheaper in the long run, gets you the same thing.

I got my Utah, don't have Florida, so I can't help you there.

While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Especially since Louisiana just dumped Florida!

If you have not taken a hunters safety course, an NRA firearms course (whatever it's called), or have never served in the military (thought you did not sure) you'll need to acquire some sort of training for your FL permit. Personally if I needed to do that I would go for the UT permit. If you already qualify FL will work.

    Basically:

    1. Fill out application and have it notarized.

    2. Get fingerprinted by a LE agency on a standard FBI fingerprint card (comes with FL application).

    3. Take (or provide copy of documention of) approved firearms training course.

    4. Include passport photo (write name, DOB and SSN on back with a Sharpie).

    5. Include check or money order for $117.

    6. Send it all in and wait.
