    Default "Disorderly Conduct" and "Obstruction Of Justice"

    Can it be explained to me what exactly these "garbage can" subjective charges are?

    § 5503. Disorderly conduct.

    (a) Offense defined.--A person is guilty of disorderly conduct if,
    with intent to cause public inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, or
    recklessly creating a risk thereof, he:
    1. Engages in fighting or threatening, or in violent or tumultuous
    behavior;
    2. Makes unreasonable noise;
    3. Uses obscene language, or makes an obscene gesture; or
    4. Creates a hazardous or physically offensive condition by any
    act which serves no legitimate purpose of the actor.

    I do not know of a "obstruction of justice" law in PA. But several of these:

    pertain to the topic.

    So, basically, if an officer has a "bug up his ass" he could, in fact, charge you with this...

    If an officer "has a "bug up his ass"" he could charge you with any violation under the sun...
    The kicker is if he can make it stick.
    DA's and cheifs frown on bogus charges.

    I would say if "YOU were being an ASS" you could be charged and it would stick.

    I can consider your comment; you're being an ass. See how subjective it it?

    You asked a question and got an answer: If you're being an ass and disorderly, you can get a disorderly conduct charge. There's no reason to turn this into a fight.

    I was not being sarcastic, and am not looking for a childish "forum fight". You asked a question and got my honest answer in return. I have noted you posting many threads relative to negative action by the police. You then posted an opinion about "bogus" charges. I simply explained to you when and where a disorderly conduct would apply. Perhaps you could petition your lawmakers to change the PA Code.
