Elwood City, Again
Geez, just when you thought they learned their lesson, they're at it again. http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pitt.../s_526608.html
Someone needs to file a criminal complaint against these elected officials (don't forget to notify the news media when doing it).

Re: Elwood City, Again
talk about a waste of time and tax money, and elwood city is a small low income town, if they go to trial over someting like this they'd have to start robbing banks to fund it.. hopefully this time they see legal action because it seems that no other way will get their attention and show them they are the ones breaking the law and they cant keep trying to do it.

ELLWOOD CITY - If council heeds the advice of its solicitor, an ordinance to ban anyone other than a police officer from carrying a gun in the municipal building will probably die.
Solicitor Edward Leymarie Jr. said Monday evening that a proposed revised ordinance, which would replace a law rescinded last month that covered the municipal building and all borough-owned property and vehicles, still would pose "serious constitutional issues."

Re: Elwood City, Again
Well it's about time the Solicitor spoke up in defense of the law as opposed to the special interest. I guess the threat of disbarring or other legal action finally made him wake up.

Re: Elwood City, Again
I'm glad they figured it out....
"Councilman Anthony "Lefty" DeCarbo originally proposed an ordinance in June to ban firearms from borough-owned buildings, property and vehicles after observing an irate customer outside the borough's electric billing window. He said he was proposing the ordinance because he had concerns for borough employees' safety."
I would propose that they enact an ordnance that REQUIRES borough employees to get a PENNSYLVANIA LICENSE TO CARRY FIREARMS, take a firearms safety course annually and the borough reimburse their employees for all cost associated. This would be cheaper than any litigation and…. I would bet it would cut down on the irate customers by about… oh lets say 100% ?

Re: Elwood City, Again
Gee, isn't that one of the reasons for carrying? Letting all levels of government know / remind them that the people rule, not them???
