    yeah this cig tax crap is pissin me off.. i cant afford to smoke marlboro light 100's no more.. its damn near 6 a pack in quakertown... i can find places that are cheepest but, It still pisses me off..

    well not my kid because I already pay for insurance for him... but its for the OTHER kids!

    I'd like to know how ANYONE that has posted here so far can agree with this IDIOTIC interpretation of this being a tax on the middle class?

    Smoking crosses all lines of wealth, race, gender .... so how is this in any way shape or form an attack on the middle class?

    Secondly, smoking is a CHOICE ... if you don't want to pay simply quit (and before anyone barks I also smoke and yes we are getting ready to quit)

    I swear the nonsensical interpretations of some people are just mind boggling.

    At the risk of getting back into this, I'd suggest a rephrasing of the attack on the President.

    He promised a tax cut for 95% of Americans.

    More than 5% of Americans smoke.


    Therefore, his campaign promise was wrong.

    Smoking is a choice at first. then it's a habit. Then it's an addiction.
