ACP vs Auto

Is ACP and Auto ammunition the same thing? I have a Kel-Tec P-3AT and it is described as .380 Auto and the manual says that it can use higher pressuer ammo but not in continuous use; I have seen this pistol referred to as .380ACP in magazines. Can I use .380ACP in it? Also, same thing with a Springfield XD .45 ACP(waiting to get one). Can I use .45 Auto in that? Thanks.

ACP = Automatic Colt Pistol.

Some say/print Auto instead of ACP. But they are the same.
Your (soon to be) Springfield shoots .45ACP/Auto.
DO NOT BUY/USE .45 GAP AMMO!!!!

GAP = Glock Automatic Pistol.

The higher pressure will be marked "+P"
If me personally, I would NOT shoot any "+P+" in a Kel-tec (I'm not even sure you can find that in .380).

I had a P-11 (9mm) that I only once shot +P ammo in. Didn't make a difference (noticeable) to me.
