Oh, well his political career is safe now
I don't know about you folks, but if this guy ever holds another elected office we are more fucked than if Al-I'm-good-enough-I'm-smart-enough-and-gosh-darn-it-people-like-me-Frankin becomes a sitting Senator.

I think you missed some bolding. I was thinking that:
his 28-year-old son
The son, also named Andrew, lives in a room in his parents' basement.
The son, who also works as a political consultant, says he's lucky to be living in the house rent free. He also promises to keep his room clean.

Re: Oh, well his political career is safe now
I think the boy has the makings for being an excellent politician.
He's already conned his parents into living there for free.
He has hissy fits when told to do something.
By being on the school board he shows that being responsible for yourself has nothing to do with ruling over others.
These are qualities that only a politician can possess and still get paid.Divided we ever have been, and ever must be.Two thirds always had and will have more difficulty to struggle with the one third than with all our foreign enemies. - John Adams
