questions about LTCF application

I just moved here and am ready to apply for a LTCF. I hear that I must list two references that are not family members, but I've heard conflicting things about whether they must reside in PA or even in my county. Obviously, since I just moved here, finding references here could be difficult.

Make note of section (c), Form of application and content.

The state form makes NO mention of this requirement (that your references reside in PA or the county of application). I personally would challenge the sheriff if they denied a LTCF because of this reason. Total BS in my opinion.

I'm in Pittsburgh, so Allegheny county.

The ONLY requirement of references is that they can not be your relatives. Where they live can not be held against you.

Butler County asked for references ... did not specify local or not. The law requires references does not specify local either but some counties are ASKING for local ????? Go figure

Being that Im on the other side of the state, some of the local guys could probably chime in here. The biggest that Im aware of is the illegal county ordinance about any carry at the airport.... and the upcoming ban that they are proposing (or has this passed) for the G20.

Exactly. The app can only be created by the PA State Police...so that is the official app. Only the PSP can say what is required for this process..
